Meet Katrina

Finding the right psychologist can feel overwhelming—I get it! So, here’s a little about me and how I work to help you decide.

I’m a clinical psychologist who focuses on helping people heal from past experiences and creating a more fulfilling present. Together, we’ll work to understand and shift unhelpful patterns, ease distressing symptoms, and develop healthier ways to navigate life.

Good therapy starts with the right match— someone who specialises and has expertise in the specific areas that match your needs. I’ve found online therapy makes that easier—no more being limited to whoever happens to be nearby.

My approach is outcome-focused and centred on meaningful change. I bring warmth, deep empathy, and a thoughtful, engaged presence to therapy—helping you feel understood while gently guiding you forward.

The right psychologist is out there for you. If that’s me, great! If not, that’s okay too—because finding the best fit matters.

The Person Behind The Therapy

Starting therapy is a big step, and I get that it can feel a little vulnerable to open up to someone you’ve just met. You deserve to feel comfortable with the person you're working with. To help you get a sense of who I am before we dive in, I’ve put together a quick Q&A.

How did you end up becoming a psychologist?
I sort of stumbled into it! I left school without a clear plan, but I enjoyed psychology, so I gave it a shot. It wasn’t until my second year of uni that I had that moment where I realised—this was what I was meant to do! Now I can’t imagine doing anything else.

What do you love most about being a therapist?

So many things! I genuinely love all of it. It blends science, creativity, and deep human connection—what’s not to love? But if I had to pick, it’s seeing people transform their lives and find relief from struggles that once felt impossible to overcome. There’s nothing more rewarding. I also feel privileged to sit with people in their most vulnerable moments and help them through it.

If you weren’t a psychologist, what would you be doing?
My first love was advertising (don’t judge me!). As a kid, I dreamed of creating ad campaigns that would change the world—think powerful road safety ads or health awareness. But being a realist, I knew I’d probably end up making ads for Maccas. I think I made the right choice!

How do you unwind after a long day?
Ideally? A long walk in nature or a quiet cup of chai in the sun. Realistically? Sometimes it’s flopping onto the couch with the TV. Balance!

What’s your favourite way to connect with people?
Over a hot beverage or brunch. Or maybe a cocktail!

Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Both! I love all animals, but I do have an extra soft spot for cats.

Do you have kids?
This one gets asked a lot! I never understood why it mattered so much—until I had my own (I see you, fellow parents!)

What’s something clients would be surprised to know about you?
That I don’t have it all together! I have my own mess too, and I’m always working on myself.
Oh, and I have a black belt in Taekwondo.

What are your favourite hobbies?
I’ve had a lot over the years. I love anything hands-on—DIY projects, fixing things up around the house. I also love reading to learn and all forms of writing.

What do you do for exercise?
Not enough! I’m not a fan of exercise just for the sake of it, but I love learning new skills that are fun. Dance, circus arts, martial arts—I’m all for movement that feels like play. Most of the time though, my exercise ends up being a walk in nature.
